Grief and panic engulfed residents of Wangige in Kabete sub-county when the body of a tout was found by the road on Monday.
The body of Evanson Ngungu, 25, was found by pedestrians along the Wangige-Kabete road in the wee hours of the day.
Confirming the incident, Kiambu County OCPD James Mugera said that the body of the diseased had deep cuts on the neck.
“The body has several cuts on the head and we suspect the tout was hit using a sharp object,” said the OCPD.
He said that investigation have been launched to ascertain the cause of the death adding that no arrest has been made yet.
A close relative of the diseased, John Kamau, said that the tout went missing on Sunday and they had launched a search only to learn that he had been killed. The body was taken to Kiambu District mortuary.
