Kenya National Union of Teachers secretary-general Wilson Sossion has said Trade Union Congress will hold a month-long protest if the president fails to address the massive corruption cases in the Country.
“Corruption has eroded all the gains made in the country's development agenda and we don`t have any more patience as workers, we are being denied fair remuneration and provision of services to workers in the public sectors," said Sossion
Sossion lamented that it is unfortunate that people implicated in Corruption are free and some even talking of vying for political positions
This is in relation to former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru that will be vying for Murang’a gubernatorial seat come 2017 general election.
“For the good will of the Country the President needs to address the nation on the progress of the war against Corruption after every three months which should start immediately,” he added.
The Trade Union Congress threats of a month long protest comes after mega scandals have been leaked recently the NYS and the Afya house scandal being part of them.
