A Nakuru trader who runs an Mpesa business was on Tuesday night shot by armed gangs.

The robbers raided the shop and demanded money from the trader who has not been identified.

The robbers escaped with more than Sh20,000.

A medic in charge at Naivasha sub-county Dr. Joseph Mburu told the Nation on Thursday that the trader was shot from the back by the gang.

Mr. Mburu added that the victims liver was slightly damaged but he underwent a successful operation.
