A businessman from Siaya County has warned Opposition chief Raila Odinga against imposing aspirants on the people.
Stephen Omondi says the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) should hold free and fair nominations to ensure trust.
He also said fair nominations will strengthen the party.
Omondi expressed confidence that the opposition will beat Jubilee in the upcoming general election.
“They can help put an end to Jubilee’s reign of high-handedness and impunity. Jubilee’s tyranny of numbers should not worry the opposition because Western and Nyanza have huge populations that vote as a bloc,” he said, as quoted by the Star.
ODM has been strongly criticised in the past for allegedly handing nomination certificates to those who do not win the primaries.
The party will hold its nominations in February, six months before the August general election.
