According to the irate traders who trooped in Eldoret town led by their representative David Obiero, they have been paying for services they ought not to.

"We are paying for services that are provided free by the County government. We can't be paying for water and toilet which should be free", said Obiero.

They took their protest to the County Offices where they demanded that the County Government take charge of the two services.

"The businessman has even built additional toilets at the market gate which is unacceptable", added Obiero.

Uasin Gishu County Secretary Peter Lelei however assured them that they had received the complaints earlier and the problem will be solved soon.

"We have looked at the matter and we agree with you that you need that water to clean your fish and other things. Toilets are required by everyone", said Lelei.
