According to the Mp Richard Tong'i, there was a need for the business community to get modern sheds as the current ones are in a bad condition and don’t favor them especially now that it’s a rainy season.

The Mp added that he will ensure that each and every business person is under the shade and said he has already identified a team that will have a look at the project and bring on the approximated budget required for the same.

“We are looking into improving the livelihood of the business community in the area," said Tong'i.

"We will start by ensuring they have the best environment for them to carry out their business,” he added.

Some of the business owners in Kiogoro market applauded the move and said they are currently facing hard times now that it's a rainy season.

"Some days we are forced to close business early or not to come to the market at all because the rains have been constant here," said Agnes Orwaru a trader.

"We are happy for the project”  she added.

The legislator was addressing a number of traders at Kiogoro market on Monday evening.
