The business community in Molo town has accused Nakuru county government of failing to collect garbage in the area. ​

According to the traders, plastic bags has blocked drainage system thus preventing the flow of rain water especially during this season the region is experiencing rains. Charles Muraya the business community chairman said the county government under the new governor Lee Kinyanjui should move with speed to ensure garbage is collected to provide a clean business environment to the traders."Uncollected garbage makes the business environment dirty. This affects the flow of customers since many of the customers keep off buying claiming the dirty business environment may lead to diseases associated with dirty environment,"said Muraya. Muraya added that the relevant authority should act before the traders take to the streets to demonstrate.He claimed garbage collecting tractors are parked at the county headquarters instead they should be used to collect garbage.However, environment executive Richard Rop said the garbage tractors have stalled due to mechanical problems.
