Traders in Nakuru town have accused a section of matatu operators who have invaded the town's Central Business District, blocking shop entrances and side walks.
The matatu operators have established their termini at various points of the town's CBD.
It is this move that has angered local business people and residents who have now urged governor Lee Kinyanjui to intervene.
The traders led by Geoffrey Kimutai said there businesses have been affected since customers have been blocked by the matatus parked in front of the entrances of their shops.
"Customers are unable to buy since drivers park in front of the entrances and this block clients. Governor Kinyanjui should intervene for us to be able even to raise revenue," said Kimutai.
Another trader Michael Maina said they will hold protests if the matatu operators are not ordered out of the CBD.
"We deserve also to do business since we pay daily revenue to the county. Matatus have blocked our shops' entrances thus making it hard for customers to access the shops to buy," said Maina.
