The Kisii County Government has asked all traders who have put up kiosks on road reserves to remove the structures.
In a notice signed by the County Executive for physical planning and urban Development Moses Onderi said that they had plans of improving the roads.
"Motorists find hard time manouvering along the roads because the structures are a barrier," he said in the notice.
According to him, already the Government had started the process of marking structures set for demolition.
He asked that anyone whose structure had already been marked to put it down.
"Those that will defy the orders will blame themselves after we take action," he said.
"This includes even those who acquired temporary licenses to operate," he added.
