Mahindi Campaign is fully aimed at ensuring that the farmers grows more traditional crops for food security.

Speaking yesterday at Moiben during the launching of the Campaign, Hellen Yego who is a member of the organisation said that all the farmers within the county should ensure that they all grow traditional crops which are not only resilent and very tolerant to drought  but also fetches very good prices in the market.

"The traditional crops are very good since they brings good income to the farmers and also they do not require much as compared to the crops that most farmers are growing now. They do not require fertilisers or even medicines and when taken to the market, they really brings good money", Hellen yego said.

Hellen went ahead and said that there was great need to consume traditional crops since the climate change that is being experienced in the county have greatly affected the profits and also the lifestyles of most citizens.

"We should all embrance this method whereby we be consuming our traditional foods which usually do not come with diseases or even side effects. I urge all the farmers to embrace this campaign and we work together towards ensuring that we make people see the positive benefits of this campaign", Hellen said
