Transportation of new factory equipment into a new factory in Limuru town caused heavy traffic in the restive town on Friday.
Huge machines were being delivered into the Proctor and Allan factory in Limuru town by trailers.
Macharia Wainaina, a resident of Limuru said an average of three long trailers were coming into the town every day and were having a problem manoeuvring the narrow roads.
“We have experienced heavy traffic inside the town as the trailers transport the heavy machines into the factory,” said Wainaina.
He added that the residents knew the traffic was an inconvenience they had to live with for a while since the establishment of the factory was a blessing for the residents.
“We envision high money circulation, employment and booming business once the factory is operational,” said Wainaina.
Limuru MP John Kiragu said Proctor and Allan were relocating their main factory from Industrial Area in Nairobi to Limuru.
“Bringing investors into Limuru was part of my campaign promise to the people of this area. I am happy that Proctor and Allan is coming here in a few months,” said Kiragu.
Other investors expected to set up shop in Limuru include Uchumi supermarket, Tuskys, Fresh n’ Juici Ltd and Muharata Food Company Ltd.
