[Photo/KBC]The traffic officer caught on video soliciting for a bribe has been identified.The National Police Service identified the officer whose video has been doing rounds on social media on Saturday as Corporal Jared Ogutu attached to Narok County. Kenyans took to social media demanding for the arrest and prosecution of the traffic officer who was seen in an amateur video verbally harassing a motorist who identified himself as a Ugandan student from Makerere University who was driving through Narok County.The officer was heard asking for Sh2,000 from the motorist so as not to book him for a traffic offense."He is being processed vide the Police disciplinary code for eventual dismissal," said the National Police Service, on Saturday.In a statement, the Service warned that it would not tolerate corruption within its ranks and any officer caught engaging in the vice will be dismissed."Members of the public are also advised to refrain from the vice as any one found attempting to bribe a police officer risks arrest as well."
