Trailer bursts into flames along Nakuru-Nairobi highway

Three people escaped death Sunday morning after a tank burst into flames.

The Standard said ths three were travelling in the trailer when it developed mechanical breakdown and caught fire.

The incident occured at the Gilgil weigh bridge Sunday morning at around 3am. 

 The fire reduced the engine section into a shell.

"No one was injured," an officer at the weigh bridge said.

It was not immediately clear what sort of mechanical  breakdown that caused the fire.
