He said this is uncalled for and they won't allow teachers to be frustrated on their line of duty. "As union officials, we will not allow this move until we are consulted since this is a punishment for teachers and may lead to them not performing well. It's sad that they have been transferred to far areas how do they expect them to perform," he said in Eldoret town, Tuesday."This will lead to breakage of families and increase HIV/AIDS transmission since they will be away from their families. I call upon the affected teachers from the region to ignore such transfers," he added.
