Addressing various groups at Kisii County hall, Kisii County Women Enterprise Fund representative Gladys Nyanchama said most of the groups have been repaying back the loan though less growth has been witnessed.

She urged the groups to expand their savings to realise the needed capital to start organisations to promote their economic well-being.

”We intend to woo as many banks as possible to open outlets in the town because we have realised that people are easily tempted to spend cash in hand if they lacked a banking facility within their reach,” she added.

She also added that it's high time for women to ensure that they expand their business and register SACCOs so that they can get bigger loans to empower themselves economically.

“Those who are not in any groups should ensure that they join groups or start-up groups to benefit from women Enterprise Fund,” said Nyanchama.
