Sanity in roads is expected to scale higher in Kisumu County following the roads clinics that are on course in Kisumu County.
The clinics are aimed at determining the right usage of the speed governors by operators in the transport sector as well as observing road signs and rules.
Addressing journalists in Kisumu on Tuesday, Director of roads operations at the National Transport and Safety Authority Mathew Munyau said the move is aimed at impacting positively the road users in the western region.
“we hope this will reduce the number of accidents in our roads and educate more on road signs and other safety rules,” said Munyau.
He further added that they are aiming at capturing all the public service vehicles with bogus speed governors to enable a steady fast operation in the roads.
He urged the operators to corporate in the ongoing clinics and offer smooth grounds for checkups in determining the right PSV vehicles that have met the threshold to operate on the roads.
