Over 1,000 nurses at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital on Wednesday took to Eldoret streets even as their strike entered its 28th day.
Carrying twigs and placards, the nurses walked through Eldoret town streets and the busy Uganda road causing a heavy traffic jam.
Addressing the press during the protest, Hospital's Kenya National Union of Nurses chairman Kennedy Orangi insisted that they will go on with the strike until their demands are fully looked into.
"We will only resume our work once the CBA is registered and fully implemented and we expect nothing short of that," noted Orangi.
He blamed the Salaries and Renumeration Commission (SRC) for the prolonged strike.
According to MTRH CEO Dr Wilson Aruasa, they are waiting for SRC's input before they implement the CBA they signed with the nurses.
The nurses downed their tools June 1, accusing the Hospital management for failing to implement the CBA that addresses several monetary and non monetary issues.
