Transport was paralyzed along the Nairobi-Naivasha highway following protests by irate residents over plans to set up a cemetery for the 'rich'.

Motorists were blocked at Soko Mjinga area as protestors lamented over the plans to havr the facility set up at Kinale area.

They said that a private developer had started construction work after being given the green light.

The county government of Nyandarua approved plans by investors too put up an 800 million shillings cemetery.

The facility will target rich families who will be paying last respect to their loved ones.
