Travelers in Eldoret town have urged president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William to intervene and lift the night travel ban for  Public Service Vehicles (PSVs).

They blamed the two leaders for staying mum yet thousands of travelers are stranded.

“We are not happy with how our president and his deputy are quite, are we lesser Kenyans. I have been here for the last two days and I have not traveled. Something needs to be done before things get out of hand. For heaven sake let us put politics aside and solve this matter,” Said John Kipkorir one of the passengers at the North Rift shuttle offices, Saturday.

“Have they forgotten that we are the ones who voted for them yet they are ignoring us. National Transport and Safety Authority's (NTSA) could have banned trucks from operating at night and not Public Service Vehicles since they have a place that they can sleep compared to us,” added John Njuguna.

“If President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy really cares for us the poor who don’t own vehicles should lift the ban for some of us to reach to our job destination and am afraid that I may be sacked because I haven’t reported to my workstation,” noted John Wafula.
