Pastor Peter Otwere has underscored the importance of the women faithful cultivating a tolerant and peaceful character towards their drunken husbands, reminding them that, respecting their husbands was part of the Biblical teaching.

Speaking at Nyamasankwa village, Giasaiga sub-location in Sameta Sub-County, during a church service to condole with the family of the late Johnstone Miyoge Michira who was one of the church's members, Otwere warned women from the SDA church against applying double standards while handling their drunk and socially irresponsible husbands in their homes.

"I am challenging women of faith from the SDA church to be courteous to their socially irresponsible husbands and avoid subjecting them to harsh punishments, instead love them and talk to them to through prayers and sharing of the word of God," stated Otwere.

He said, if women from the SDA church treated their husbands with courtesy and hospitality in the face of their socially irresponsible behaviour, they will gradually convert them and win them to the Christian ministry to serve the church and the society.
