Flower and tree seedling vendors along the busy Nakuru-Eldoret Highway are a happy lot due to profits they are making from the business. brisk
Speaking Friday the traders said the rainy season was a huge blessing as customers flocked in droves to purchase the flowers.
Paul Nganga who says he has been in the flower business for five years now said that the rains had come at the right moment and that many people travelling upcountry formed the bulk of their customers.
"We are very elated with the rain because it has enabled great business. Most of those buying flowers are those travelling to the rural area who occasionally stop by to purchase them," he said.
Pauline Chebet adds that tree seedlings are also in high demand as people take advantage of the long rains to plant more trees in their homesteads and farms.
"Yes, tree seedlings are equally selling and we are happy. These rains should continue," she adds with a grin.
