Chairman Sharad Rao speaking to a local paper said the report has been sent to the Government Printer.

Tunoi was under investigation for allegedly receiving Sh200 million from Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero to issue a favourable ruling in an election petition by Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu.

Journalist Geoffrey Kiplagat had filed an affidavit accusing Tunoi of receiving the bribe to deliver a favourable ruling in the petition.

The tribunal closed its sessions after the Supreme Court upheld a decision to retire Tunoi at the age of 70.

The seven-member tribunal, led by the chairman of the Judges and Magistrate’s Vetting Board Sharad Rao, held public sessions at the Anniversary Towers in Nairobi.

Other members of the tribunal are Judge Roselyn Korir, retired judge Jonathan Havelock, Judith Guserwa, James Gachoka, Abdirashid Hussein and George Nanji.

The appointment of the tribunal followed the recommendations of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

In February this year, the JSC said it was convinced there was inappropriate interaction between Tunoi and Kidero’s agents in the petition that was then pending before the Supreme Court thus the recommendation for a tribunal.
