There was drama on Thursday night at a famous bar in Kisumu after a father collided with his son on the dance floor.
The man who hails from Nairobi, is believed to have been on a business trip when he decided to check in at the famous bar at around 6:00pm for a drink.
While enjoying his drinks, the son, who studies in Kisumu appeared with two ladies and took to the dance floor.
The father also took to the dance floor, where he bumped into his son dancing with one of the ladies.
The furious man held his son by the neck, and pushed him to the floor as he accused him of having bad morals.
He slapped him and pinned him on the ground, forcing bar attendants to intervene.
“They were dancing before the old man pounced on him as he strangled him. He seemed very furious while the lady in his company fled outside,” one of the bar attendants explained.
According to the father, his son was immoral since he was busy dancing and entertaining ladies instead of studying.
“So this is what you have been doing here in school, as I and you mother think that you are reading. You pretend you are so holy back home, and here you are with naked ladies at the bars,” the father said.
The son, on his part, noted that the father was a bad role model.
“How can you tell me not to drink yet yourself you are drinking? You are setting a bad example,” he said.
Following the drama, the bar security team threw the two out of the establishment.
“We don’t allow such kind of behaviour here. They should go settle their family problems outside,” said Obadiah Simbi one of the bar's security personnel.
According to witnesses outside the bar, the two finally drove off together to an unknown destination.
“They came out of the bar yelling at each other as the old man pushed him and got to a car outside the bar before driving off,” said Anne Kwanyike an eye witness.
