Luo council of elders has been angered by Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula after he compared ODM leader Raila Odinga to a barren woman.
The Bungoma senator is reported to have likened Odinga to a barren woman after failing to secure the presidency in three attempts.
The elders now want a public apology from the Cord co-principle as they claim the statement was abusive to the Luo community at large.
Led by Willis Otondi and secretary Owino Nyadi, the elders said the statement was very disrespectful and unnecessary.
''We all know that CORD has not picked a presidential flag bearer to contest in 2017 and Raila has not been endorsed for Wetangula to use such words against him,'' said Otondi.
The elders said that Wetangula was very disrespectful to the ODM leader knowing very well what happened to him in 2007 and 2013.
''We demand a public apology from Mr.Wetangula.Odinga is not a woman who cannot conceive as he suggested. We all know what happened to Odinga in 2007 and 2013.The elections were stolen and even Jubilee knows that," said Otondi.
