Another heated political rivalry between Kanu's Gideon Moi and DP William Ruto is looming following the former's tour in South Rift on Sunday.
Before holding a meeting at Bureti constituency, Moi landed in Kericho governor Paul Chepkwony's residence at Chagaik for a private meeting.
The two later on proceeded to Chebwagan Youth Polytechnic where over 600 youths had been training on technical skills.
Two months ago, Chepkwony was hosted by Moi at his Kabarak home where the governor got an opportunity to meet retired president Gideon Moi.
During the public meeting, Chepkwony termed the Baringo senator as a 'gentleman' and insisted there was nothing wrong working with him.
And the meeting has caused jitters within Ruto's camp with Belguyt MP Nelson Koech terming it as 'suspicious' as speculation over the Jubilee governor's move dominated local media.
Understandably, Moi is building a political base to take on Ruto, who has declared interest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
