Members of Nairobi County Assembly have expressed fears that they might never be reelected or even nominated come the 2017 general elections.
A source at the county assembly privy to the matter said the MCAs have been discussing their worries in hushed tones, saying Governor Kidero's failures will eventually hurt their reelection bids.
The informant further revealed that the county Assembly is accusing the executive of evidently failing to implement development projects at the grassroots.
Nominated MCAs are also not certain of their political future since they may also find themselves along a similar course as their elected counterparts. Out of the city 127 MCAs, a total of 43 are nominated.
Some brave nominated MCAs like Benedetta Wangui and Alexina Moody have even resorted to secure their political careers by getting to the electorate to sell their ideologies well on time so as not to miss out after the 2017 elections.
Ms Wangui has already hinted on contesting for Nairobi women representative seat.
