A truck driver who was involved in an accident near Gretsa University along the Thika-Garissa Highway will now be charged with causing the death of two persons by careless driving.
Samson Oyondi Morris was arrested following the Thursday afternoon accident and is being detained at the Thika Police Station.
Confirming the incident, Thika West OCPD Willy Simba said Oyondi who was heading towards Makongeni, hit a motorcycle which was in front of him, killing the bodaboda operator on the spot.
The female passenger who was aboard the motorcycle was taken to Thika Level Five Hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
The bodies were taken to the General Kago Road Funeral Home awaiting identification by relatives.
Mr Oyondi will be arraigned in court on Monday, June 4, 2018.
