The motorists who spoke to journalists on Wednesday said that that the lorries are parking on both sides of the road leaving the road stretched and visibility difficult.

"The road is usually very narrow and the situation has been further complicated by these lorries. As motorists we would be pleased if the lorries would look for an alternative parking area to ease our work," said Francis Mwenda, a matatu driver said.

They say that they are now fearing that accidents can easily occur at the site especially at night.

"If it is hard to drive during the day at this point, you can imagine how it is at night. Accidents are our greatest worry now especially if you encounter with a driver new to the area," Shadrack Mburu, another driver said.

They add that the juice company ought to limit the number of lorries coming to deliver fruits at a time.

"What is the need of having many of them coming here when some will even take days before they are off-loaded? They should come in a controlled manner to avert this congestion," Luke Macharia, a driver said. Efforts to get a comment from the company were futile.
