Even as US Presidents Trump made a maiden call Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta, the effect of the former's much awaited second travel ban executive order is to be opposed in court.

 The latest executive order set for implementation on March 16th, exempts Iraq, green card and valid visa holders but the Aloha State Hawaii Attorney feel the new order suffers from the same constitutional and statutory deficiencies like the first executive order hence plan to move to court block it. In the new order, citizens of six Muslim majority countries from being issued with American visas.

A lawyer in New York Eric Schneiderman is also scrutinizing the order with an intention of also moving to court to block its implementation a week from now.

In his call, President Trump honoured Kenya's KDF solders for their role in fighting Al Shabaab militia in Somali. The historic call is a follow up of similar high powered calls to Nigeria President Muhammad Buhari and South Africa's President Jacob Nzuma.

In the 30 minutes call, President Trump and President Kenyatta reaffirmed the strong bilateral relationship between the two countries apart from discussing close cooperation between Kenya and the US to overcome terrorism and regional security.

  President Trump expressed appreciation for Kenya’s significant contributions to the African Union Mission in Somalia and ways to boost bilateral trade and investment in Kenya and the broader East Africa region.
