Police boss Joseph Boinnet has asked Kenyans to trust his police force, assuring the country that police will be non-partisan in the entire elections period.
In what seems to be a rejoinder NASA flag-bearer Raila Odinga's claims that officers have been hired by IEBC to help rig the general elections, Boinnet assured both the opposition and citizens of an equal-to-all service by the police.
"Police will be non-partisan and will serve all Kenyans equally regardless of their political affiliation," he said.
He was speaking during a meeting with seven directors from forest, prisons, DCI, AP, Kenya Defence Forces and Kenya Police departments.
He said these institutions will help police in managing security during and after the polls.
The police boss added that he is not aware of Raila's claims that eight armed officers have been trailing him.
