Kisii county Women Rep Mary Otara has said that her opponents should try other different mean to unseat her in 2017.
Speaking in Kitutu Chache South constituency on Monday evening when she met widows, Otara stated that since 2013 she has done much to improve lives of youths and women in the county.
"Through Affirmative Funds program, women and youth groups in the county have benefited. Still more projects underway to be completed before 2017 polls. Those opposing my leadership should keep off or find other ways to defeat me," she noted.
Ms Otara urged locals to support her for a second term in office citing that nobody has come out to succeed her.
"Those interested in the Women Rep seat have selfish interest. They want to steal money meant for widows, orphans. This should not be allowed to take place in the county. I am the best option in 2017," added Otara.
Ms Otara donated rubber shoes among other items to widows.
