The Teachers Service Commission has warned retired teachers against falling prey to fraudsters.
A fraud group has been circulating inaccurate messages asking teachers to submit their personal details to Sheria House in order to benefit from a 42 billion shillings court award.
The Commission dismissed the fraudsters saying that any information regarding the package will be communicated either through personal addresses, TSC County offices, TSC website and the media.
TSC head of Communications Kihumba Kamotho has further assured the estimated 52,000 retired teachers that their records and personal details are intact and available for reference.
Teachers expect to be paid their pension by July after National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich allocated 8 billion shillings in the supplementary budget.
