Several secondary school principals and primary school heads have received transfer letters from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
The move aims to enhance cohesion in the country.
Chief Executive Nancy Macharia did not, however, indicate the number of transferred head teachers
Those affected by the transfers are school heads who have stayed in their institutions for more than nine years.
“We have completed the process of reorganizing the headship of some schools in the country through staff redeployments in what we have come to refer to as delocalization,” Dr. Macharia said.
She added, “We hope this will renew teacher commitments and breathe freshness within schools.”
The TSC boss asked all stakeholders to support the process and asked those affected to move to their new stations as advised.
