The Teachers' Service Commission is set to hire principals in national schools, extra county schools, and teacher training colleges.
Already an advert has been placed in the local dailies.
According to CEO Nancy Macharia, 15 vacancies are open for school principals and three in the colleges.
To qualify for the school principal positions, one must be a serving principal in a secondary school.
“They must be results-oriented with a proven track record performance in KCSE [exams] with an average mean score of seven and above in the last three years,” said Macharia in a statement.
Those wishing to apply for the position of college principal must be serving as principals or deputy principals in a tertiary institution.
“They must be result-oriented with track proven record of performance in national examinations in the last three years,” Macharia said.
Other qualifications for all positions are that one must be at Job Group ‘P’ and above and must have served continuously as an institution administrator for not less than 10 years.
