Senior Principal Eldoret National Polytechnic Josephat Sawe has urged the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to deploy more teachers in the institution.

He said the institution is currently facing a huge shortage of teaching staff compared to to the increasing number of students."We are experiencing scarcity of teachers especially in the especially in technical courses. We call upon TSC to act at speed and save the situation," he said in Eldoret town, Thursday."Currently we only have 300 teachers with a population of over 8,0000 students. It is hard for them to attend for all these students leading to overworking," he added.Sawe urged parents to enroll their children to pursue technical courses since it has ready job market compared to any course in the Country."Technical education is the remedy to joblessness among the youths since students are given skills and knowledge that at long last will employ his or herself," he said. He, however, urged the National government to increase funding to technical institutions for them to conduct their business at ease.
