Tension is high in Baringo North after suspected Tugen bandits shot dead a Pokot boy at Kapturo on Saturday.
The deceased Biwott Lokerobos aged 17 was a standard 8 candidate at Kapturo Primary School.
He was shot dead on his way home in Tiaty sub county.
According to a resident, Richard Lotoiyo, he was at Kapturo trading center when he heard gunshots about 50 meters away.
“We arrived at the scene and found the boy lying in a pool of blood with a bullet wound at the back of his head,” Lotoiyo said.
"He had gone to visit his siblings in our Tiaty home over the weekend but unfortunately he met his death," the deceased's father said.
