Speaking on NTV Sunday, Tuju said that the media is more keen on portraying the ruling Jubilee Party as the villain than being analytical in reporting all this with the aim of giving the opposition an upper hand as the two teams approach the August general polls. ''Most of the stories are framed in a way probable to paint Jubilee as the bad guy and NASA, on the other hand, comes up with the good guy tag,'' said Tuju who based his argument on the politicized maize and flour shortage in the nation. ''Most of the media houses have taken sides to an extent that they even blame Jubilee for rain failure. They are only interested in the bad side and leave out the good side. For instance, Jubilee is being blamed for the rise of cost of maize flour when the same commodity is twice the price in some of our neighboring nations,'' said the former Rarieda lawmaker. The Unga issue has been the major campaign platform recently with NASA accusing Jubilee of failing to feed the nation. The Jubilee side has, on the other hand, maintained that it has the nation's food security completely sorted out.
