Jubilee Party head of secretariat Raphael Tuju has said 'jokers' will not be allowed to attend the party's strategy meeting scheduled for Friday at Kasarani Gymnasium in Nairobi.
Speaking on Wednesday, Tuju said only those who have paid nomination fees will be allowed to the meeting which will be graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, the Nation has reported.
“We have invited all aspirants running for governorship, Senate, National Assembly, county women representative and county assemblies,” he said.
“We are discouraging jokers from attending the meeting. We only want genuine aspirants to attend,” he added.
The Jubilee Party strategy meeting comes just two days after Opposition met at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi to chart the way forward ahead of the August polls.
