Head of Jubilee Secretariat Raphael Tuju has now called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to explain the formula used in the distribution of the Biometric Voter Registration kits (BVR) across the country saying that the opposition strongholds were favored in the distribution.
While addressing the press from the Jubilee communication center in Nairobi on Friday, Tuju alleged that the opposition areas had 255 more BVR kits.
"According to our analysis, it is clear that there are more BVR machines opposition strongholds. In fact, they have 255 extra BVR kits," the former presidential aspirant said.
"We are, therefore, requesting the Chiloba, Chebukati team to explain the rationale that was used to arrive at the number of kits distributed to different regions," he added.
Tuju has also called on the IEBC to explain the incidences of individual IDs being used to register multiple people.
"You have been reading media reports on double registration claims where senior members of the society IDs have been used to register other people," he said.
"With all these mistakes, the problem lies squarely on the doorstep of IEBC and they have to come clean on these issues," he added.
