Jubilee Party secretary General Raphael Tuju claims Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga is afraid of losing to Uhuru Kenyatta.
Tuju says the opposition leader is afraid to face the president in fresh polls as ordered by the Supreme Court.
The former Rarieda Member of Parliament claims Raila is trying to avoid the fresh presidential poll.
“Nasa knows they cannot win this election. That is why they have hatched a plot against the IEBC. Their tactics are diversionary to avoid a shame of losing an election twice,” Tuju said in Kisumu, as reported by the Nation.
Tuju said the Jubilee Party is ready for the election.
“We will follow the Constitution. Kenya is a country of laws and we are ready to abide by the court ruling to participate in a fresh election,” he said.
Raila’s Nasa has insisted that there will be no repeat presidential election on October 17 unless IEBC officials accused of bungling August 8 polls are removed.
