Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju has alleged that the opposition unity,National Super Alliance (NASA) is planning to rig the  August general election.

Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV Tuesday,Tuju said that the opposition's quest to have the election process fully electronic is suspicious alleging that the team is preparing to sabotage the system to enable it record a win in the presidential race.

''NASA's demand to have the election fully electronic is suspicious because it is clear that interfering with the system is easier this way.The system is more likely to be sabotaged as the opposition is planning to do some mischief using it's agents who will be operating from Tanzania,'' he said.

He said that the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led side is set to benefit either way should its demands be fulfilled.

''They want the IEBC to not use any manual backups so that in case all their plans fail and there is a failure on the electronic system they can go to the streets and allege that the election was shambolic. This is a recipe for chaos,'' he said.

The opposition has been calling for an entirely electronic system and has moved to court to have the national poll body IEBC compelled to drop its plans to have a manual backup in case the electronic system fail.NASA is alleging that a manual backup would be used to rig it out and is instead proposing for an equally electronic backup.
