The former MP, giving an example of president Moi's ID card which was reported to have been used to register several other people, said that it was beyond reason to have more than one person registered with more that on ID card.

He was speaking to the media from the Jubilee communication center in Nairobi, on Friday.

"You have been reading media reports on double registration claims double registration, where senior members of the society ID's have been used to register other people. For example how can somebody come and register with the ID that 0000001 when it is know that it is former President Moi's ID card number and still continue to register that person?" He posited.

"With all this mistakes the problem lies squarely on the doorstep of IEBC and they have to come clean on these issues," he added.

Tuju, however, said that they were giving the IEBC time to respond to this claim given that the commissioner were new in office and needed time to settle.

"I like to state here that we have restrained ourselves from castigating the IEBC, particularly because we recognize that the commissioners are new and need time to settle," he said.
