Following the Jubilee government’s commitment to continue fostering the relationship between Kenya and China, the Jubilee Party Secretary General and Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju visited the Kenya Twyford Factory in Kajiado County.
The visit was in a bid to strengthen the capacity of the manufacturing sector which is one of the Big Four pillars.
He said the party was keen to achieve the Big Four agenda, and in line with this, had set out to buttress manufacturing in order to provide jobs for the youth, build and improve on Kenya’s infrastructure for the 21st century and ensure that we are moving towards a broad based and inclusive modern economy.
"The visit to Twyford Factory is a clear depiction of this commitment and comes at a time when the country is poising itself as an ideal investment hub in East and Central Africa."
During the visit on Thursday, the Tuju assured the company of continued and unrelenting support from government to ensure they meet their objectives.
They also discussed future expansion plans by the company to other regions in the country with the objective of growing the economy in mind.
"China and Chinese companies will continue to be part of a strategic investment partnering group for the betterment of the country’s infrastructure and economic growth," said Tuju.
