Turbo Constituency MP Elisha Busienei wants security officials in the constituency to deal with alleged rise in criminal activities.

The MP told reporters that locals are complaining over what they claim as rise in crime.

Addressing locals at Turbo trading centre on Saturday, Busienei asked police to conduct more patrols and deal with alleged criminals.

He said that it is the duty of police officers to deal with criminals and assure residents of their security anywhere at any time.

“I have received complaints from a section of Turbo residents over rise in criminal activities in the area,” confirmed Busienei.

He said that war against crime should not be relented until when criminals will be arrested and put behind bars.

Busienei asked Uasin Gishu County Assembly to formulate laws and policies that will fight crime. He said county Members of County Assembly (MCAs) must draft polices aimed and curbing crime.

He said that the National Assembly will continue to make laws that will guarantee security at national level.

Busienei asked residents to report all cases of crime so that security officials can deal with them and find preventive measures before things could go out of hands.
