The MP said that bias in investigation, arrest and even prosecution will derail the war against graft.

Addressing the press at Eldoret town on Tuesday, Busienei said the war against corruption is likely to be hampered by what he termed as biased prosecution.

“As a country, we will never tame corruption if our agencies engage in selective investigation, arrest and prosecution,” he said.

The MP asked agencies mandated to deal with graft to reform and focus to win public confidence.

He further asked the agencies to remain firm and prosecute basing on evidence and nothing else.

He noted that Kenyans are slowly losing confidence in such agencies, further underlining the effects of graft, which he said needs to be tackled with urgency.

At the same time, he urged other leaders to step in and help end graft, which he said is denying Kenyans access to development and services.
