Turi ward Member of County Assembly, Michael Wang'ombe has thanked area churches, Red-cross and other well-wishers for their contribution towards fire victims in his ward.

The over 38 victims were rendered homeless following an inferno that gutted down several houses on Wednesday night at Michatha area.

"I want to thank Redcross, the church and all well-wishers who have been on the forefront to ensuring that the victims have food, shelter and clothing. We have done everything in our reach to ensure their welfare during this sad time," the MCA said
