Opposition leader Raila Odinga exuded confidence that ODM party shall win all elective seats in Turkana County, a region where it lost significantly in 2013.

Odinga who is on a three days visit in the county slammed the government’s effort in fighting hunger and drought in the region, adding that most MPs from the area have ignored their constitutional duty.

“We did not do well in 2013 but I have seen overwhelming signs that we shall win all elective seats in the region,” he said after receiving Turkana Central MP John Lodepe from Jubilee Party.

He added: “The government has been seeing out people dying of hunger and drought. It has only directed its energy in looting. We must do our part by voting them out in August.”

Also, Odinga took a swipe on unmentioned MP by accusing him of hiring goons to disrupt his rally at Kitilie ward.

“They have panicked and that is why you are seeing those boys firing at us. They have been given few coins by an MP to cause chaos. That is the leadership I want us to vote out,”Odinga added.
