Speaking when he officially launched the factory, the Turkish amabassador to Kenya Hilil Ibrahim Okul and the Chief executive officer for One Hen Campaign James Makini said that the factory would help farmers get feeds for their animals easily and at a very low price compared to how they buy now.

Makini said that the One Hen campaign has reached more than 50 farmers in Gusii, adding that the biggest challenge they faced was having to pay for animal feeds of poor quality and at a very high price.

“This campaign has reached up to fifty farmers in the larger Gusii and the challenges they had when buying chicken and cow feeds will soon be a different story with this factory here. The farmers will get the feeds at a low price and they shall be given delivery services to their groups for free,” said Makini.

Makini however called on people of Kisii to support the campaign and urged the youth to being picky with the jobs they want to do and instead engage in income generating activities.
