Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has asked the locals to turn out in large numbers to reelect President Uhuru Kenyatta during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Sunday in Kabartonjo, Baringo County, the lawmaker further retaliated that he will be gunning for the presidency in 2022.
He had accompanied President Kenyatta during his tour of the region, sharing a platform with his political foe Deputy President William Ruto.
“I am standing here today to tell the Baringo people to turn up in big masses to vote in Jubilee in August 8....and then I will still come back and tell you what follows up next,” he said.
Also present during the rally was Jubilee candidate for Baringo Senator Simon Chelugui, who was heckled and shouted down when he was invited to speak during the same meeting.
DP Ruto was prompted to intervene, cutting short Chelugui's speech.
