2016 Kenya Premier League champions Tusker FC are reportedly closing in on Sony Sugar pacy forward Amos Asembeka.
The Kenyan international was instrumental for the sugar millers in the 2017 campaign but could soon follow his teammate George Abege who joined Posta Rangers on Friday after the Brewers confirmed that they had held extensive talks with the Awendo-based side over the player.
"We have agreed with Sony but he has not signed a contract yet.Once he signs we will officially unveil him as our player but until then he remains a Sony Sugar player," said Tusker FC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Charles Obiny.
The sugar millers had a very challenging season financially and it us believed that itvis because of such that they are struggling to hold on to their best talents.
Tusker on the other hand are keen on reviving their frontline which was the centre of criticism in the 2017 seson where they failed to win any silverware despite bagging a double just a season earlier.
New head coach Sam Timbe has since brought in board some big names in former Bandari FC striker Edwin Lavatsa ,Ugandan forward Mathews Odongo and former Gor Mahia player Timothy Otieno among others.
